About BBC Club
BBC Club was founded in 1924 as a private members club. It has been a part of BBC Life for over 90 years. Today the Club is the heart of social unity within the BBC.
All BBC and BBC partners staff can enjoy a wealth of services ranging from working up a sweat to the pursuit of a life long interest; as a place to meet friends or to work up the next big idea. Members benefit from discounted rates in our Clubs and on our services as well as a plethora of additional online benefits and high street deals. We also have a private lottery, exclusive member only events, plus much much more!

Membership
As much as we would like everybody in the whole wide world to be a member, unfortunately this isn’t possible.
So the burning question is… are you eligible?
- If you work for the BBC as an employee or a contractor
- If you work for one of the BBC’s partners
- If you are a partner or family member of a BBC Club member
- If you are a BBC Alumni member with at least one year of continuous BBC employment
- If you have retired from the BBC

40th Annual Regent's Park Race
About
The run will be at 18:30, as usual, so please aim to be by the Espresso Bar by 18:15. The route will be the same as previous years but start by running North up Broad Walk instead (a nice, long straight up to the drinking fountain/statue). As per recent years, we are not advertising the run externally to keep it relatively low-key and focussed on our members and BBC staff (as well as friends of the club). Please come join us to keep the legacy of the oldest run in the park going!
There are loos next to The Espresso Bar that you should be able to use but there are no changing facilities otherwise. I believe it costs 20p to use the loos and you need to pay by card or phone. Do not go to The Hub as it closes at 19:00 in September so anything you leave in there will be locked in.
There will be one person starting the run (and tracking times using a timing app) who belongings can be left with but avoid bringing anything too valuable, any valuables are left at your own risk.
We are not charging for the event as we are keeping it low key (as mentioned). We will use running numbers and a timing app so please do send details in advance to me so the app can be set up. We need the following details:
Name (first & surname):
Gender: M/F
Vet category (40 and over)? Y/N
You can also enter on the day but please be outside The Espresso Bar before 18:15 if you do so we can collect details. Runners please collect numbers (safety pins provided) when you arrive. Plan on bringing your own water bottle – taps are available to fill bottles with water.
The course will be the usual one – there will not be any marshals but we will set some arrows up to mark turns on the course. The course is also available on Strava and Garmin - SEE LINK (noting the start is now in the South East corner and not on the West side). Three laps is 10km but feel free to only do one or two laps (3.3km or 6.7km) if you would like – timings are only being taken for those running three laps though. Please be courteous to other users of the park as the paths will not be closed.
We are hoping to head to the pub (The Metropolitan Bar by Baker Street tube) for a post-run drink and all are welcome to join. You can find it on 7 Station Approach, Marylebone Road, London NW1 5LA.
Hope to see you there!
